The HERMEX study allowed us to adding our sample to a national group composed of ten similar studies in other Spanish communities and establish a national collaborative study ( DARIOS ) that , in a population of 28887 individuals , shows the reality of cardiovascular risk factors in our country in the first decade of XXI century

The DARIOS Studio (Dyslipaemia , Atherosclerosis Risk and Increased hs CRP and Inflammatory and Oxidative status in the Spanish population) going to establish the current prevalence of major risk factors in cardiovascular disease in the XXI century, a context very different from the Spain of 80-90 years in terms of economic development and living habits of the population.
